Itinerary
1Tracing the Central Axis: Tiananmen, the Palace Museum, Temple of Heaven
Tiananmen stands majestically in Chang'an, serving as the gateway to the millennia-old imperial capital. Standing before the tower, one can feel the grand aura where ancient and modern times converge. The vicissitudes of ages are preserved within its carved beams and inscribed plaques.

The Forbidden City, with its red walls and yellow tiles, was the center of imperial power in bygone days. Walking through layers of palace courtyards, one can trace the ordinary lives of the royal families within the halls, along with the joys and sorrows intertwined with the rise and fall of dynasties, all embedded in every blue brick and glazed tile.

Admire the grand and exquisite ritual buildings of the Temple of Heaven, trace the origins of imperial ceremonies for praying for good harvests, and encounter the laid-back, leisurely slow pace of life in old Beijing.
