Dali

Dali is located in western Yunnan. It is the capital of the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, the former capital of the ancient Nanzhao Kingdom and the Dali Kingdom, and the city renowned far and wide for its “wind, flowers, snow, and moon.” Backed by the majestic Cangshan Mountains and facing the crystal-clear Erhai Lake, the nineteen peaks of Cangshan rise in layered ridges, while the emerald waters of Erhai Lake—the “Pearl of the Plateau”—ripple gently, together creating a unique landscape painting.
