🧣 Essential Gear List for Extreme Cold
- Head and Face: Fleece-lined Lei Feng hat (must have ear flaps), windproof scarf, ski goggles (to prevent snow blindness).
- Clothing and Outfits: Use the “onion-layering method.” Quick-drying thermal underwear + fleece/wool sweater + windproof down jacket with at least 300g of down fill; for the lower body, we recommend fleece-lined thermal pants + waterproof ski pants.
- Hand and Foot Protection: High-top waterproof snow boots (we recommend using heated insoles), waterproof ski gloves, and 3-ply wool socks.
- Must-Have Tool: Heating pads (bring extra—you can stick them on the back of your phone to prevent it from shutting down), a thermos, a 20,000 mAh power bank, moisturizing face cream, and lip balm (to prevent dryness).

⚠️ Important Notes
- Protecting Your Cell Phone from Freezing: iPhones are very prone to shutting down automatically in extremely cold temperatures. We recommend keeping your phone close to your body in an inner pocket, taking it out only when you’re ready to take a photo, and putting it back immediately afterward.
- Ice and Snow Safety: When walking on snow, it is recommended to use the “penguin walk”; do not keep your hands in your pockets to prevent slipping and falling; wear appropriate protective gear when riding snowmobiles or participating in similar activities.
